Fantastic, suitable social media KPI example is here!

I think the following KPI, as well as its CTA execution, is PERFECT:

Fantastic KPI

Here is why:

Social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube were not built for instant sales (not even for eCommerce, although the platforms are fixing that now). They were built from the bottom up for community building, where the community building is focused around ideas, attitudes, specific emotions (love, hate, blushing, …) about a specific area.

If you want to succeed on social media, work hard to bring a dialog about what you do/preach. A hard sell approach is not suitable… Instead, bring the people together, and maybe down the line find ways to convince them sign up for your “mailing list.” Now – mind you – “mailing list” in terms of social media doesn’t necessarily mean an email list. Rather, make them become engaged followers and community members.

You! Your social media is a great place to get leads (not instant sales), but first work hard to get your message out to those who care.

“Engage Your Engagers” – Influencer’s First Commandment?

Indeed, and this is not only the First Commandment for any social media-ist. Every time engagers are going out of their way from their daily activities and bothering to engage with you on your social media account, engage back. Such attention is so appreciated in today’s world and is really the essence of building lasting relationships on social media.

We all have at least one engager on social media, and those people are so important. But wait…

Are Influencers and Brands Pirates?

Many good marketers were and are pirates. Brands and social media influencers are no different. They “pirate” by introducing various ideas to relevant their audience and see what bites.

As you must know by now, I’m a big favor of testing until perfecting, and testing the story-telling of your brand in particular. Some go to the extreme of pirating, and that’s (sometimes) ok too:

The Amazon Pirating Way

How about Amazon as an example of a pirate? Are they successful enough by now to use as an authoritative example 🙂 ?

Signing an Influencer Contract as Part of Your Marketing Strategy

You’ve got to be very strategic and plan well when it comes to influencer marketing, so all the moving parts, as well as objectives, will work. Drafting a well-written and updated influencer contract or SMI* contract) and signing an influencer contract is a great method to achieve exactly that.

Why Should You Consider Signing an Influencer Contract?

The prime reason for signing a Brand-Influencer Contract is not to eliminate suspicion between potential partners. Rather, the goal is to make everything (or at least as much as possible) CLEAR between the brand and the SMI.

The contract will also help you with influencer campaign planning and execution. Most steps and moves for the campaign should be included. Using a contract template, all you need to do is to associate people and dates to the various action items and goals.

Does the Website on my Insta Bio Need to Be Mine?

No, the website you list on your bio doesn’t need to be yours! You can enter your Amazon affiliate (or store) page, your linktr.ee (eg linktr.ee/dopecandi), your YouTube/Tiktok URL, GoodRead, or even your IMDB page (eg imdb.me/christicawley).

Bio - IMDB instead of a "website"
Bio – IMDB instead of a “website”

And btw do you know that you can also enter a website address (such as a website of an org you support, such as RedCross), in two places on your Instagram bio, see the example below:

How Can I Increase My Engagement on Instagram? #CTA

Here’s a hack: Test new CTAs (call-to-action) such as stretching words, encouraging dialog through CTAs such as “ask me…” and “what’s your memory about…”, display colorful data, hashtag optimizations, etc. – Be creative, see what works best for your community and repeat what does.
