Why do influencers and brands need a contract? Because without one, too much is left up to chance. When will the influencer post? Will the brand get content approval? Is the brand expected to engage on the post? What kind of language is permissible?
These and more are important questions to answer before brands and influencers begin working together. Without answering them, there are too many opportunities for misunderstandings, which can leave one or more of the parties dissatisfied. If you are potentially looking to work together more than once, or just to maintain your reputation, you should sign an agreement to make sure you do it right the first time!
