What is it that makes a brand engaging as influencers, and how do you grow it in the early weeks/months before/after the launch of a product?

My short answer:

1. By not talking about you

By not talking about the brand/selling your products….

New (and old…) brands think they need to talk about themselves a LOT… This is a mistake.

Instead, focus on building a community around a topic that is related to your brand. Make it personal (for e.g., when you post something add at the end “~ Joe”)

2. Build a story

Very, very important to build a story. Everyone has a story, I’m sure you can find yours, ref to https://www.dearmishudad.com/influencers-best-bringing-interest-to-brand-stories-not-products/

Remember:
Good brand story-telling helps lead your audience (and customers too) to good decisions.

3. Followers Feedback

Recruit followers to give you feedback on anything you are building – on your logo, UX, new features, new webpage, product colors… And start doing it early — the earlier, the better. Make your followers a part of your team, make them family, and invested in your success.

All of this takes a lot of time and effort, but it is worth it.

4. Hire top SMI

If you have a budget, hire top SMI (social media influencers), so they can help you build your followers.

All of this takes a lot of time and effort, but it is worth it.
