There are several methods to find your ideal SMI*.
My formula is one of them (although I admit, it’s not by any means a silver bullet).
Another good way is to … ASK. Simply ask your audience who THEY recommend that you work with, who they follow, and who they see as most suitable to create dialog, influence and great content for you.
If you ask, they will probably recommend:
Someone who uses (or can be an ideal user of) your product
Someone super-relatable to what you do
The leader of an online community
Someone they follow for a reason
Someone they listen to
No need tools here — just human help!
HOWEVER, this works only if you yourself (yes, I’m talking to you…) are trusted, respected, and have a record of constant engagement with your followers…
Takeaway here: go straight to your audience, your social media followers, your online admirers, and ask them to recommend the best influencer for you. They might save your business, if not help you scale it up.
